Released in 2003 by Deibus Studios for Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and PlayStation 2, Freestyle MetalX is a freestyle motocross racing and sports title built around open, unrestricted environments. Across eight interconnected levels set in real-world-inspired locales, players perform tricks off objects like swimming pools and skyscrapers, smash through windows, and tear through parks without the constraints typical of the genre. Side events such as bus jumping, wheelie challenges, and fire tunnel runs reward participants with cash and notoriety, which can be spent on bikes, clothing, and accessories. The roster includes nine professional riders — among them Kris "The Rock" Rourke and Ronnie "Kung Fu" Faisst — alongside seven generic characters. Competitive events cover Big Air, Freestyle, Hill Climb, and Race formats. Additional minigames involve cliff-diving trick runs, a motocross dartboard challenge, and motocross pinball. A built-in level editor allows custom arenas, while a soundtrack featuring Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, and Twisted Sister runs throughout.
