Garden of the Sea VR is a virtual reality life-simulation and adventure game developed by Neat Corporation, released in 2022 for Meta Quest 2, PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Nintendo Switch. Players tend a small island garden, building raised plant beds, fences, and trellises to grow vegetables and flowers, then use those harvests in cooking. Beyond farming, the game involves caring for local wildlife by learning their food preferences, fishing to populate a pond, and constructing and decorating a personal home. Exploration by boat opens access to additional islands and resources, while quests unlock new creatures and locations. A reactive music system ties the soundtrack dynamically to gameplay. The experience accommodates both goal-oriented play through quests and progression, and a slower, open-ended pace suited to relaxation. Accessibility options include seated or standing play, adjustable movement modes, and support for multiple languages.
