Dark Corners is the fourth and final downloadable content pack for Epic Games' 2008 Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War 2, released in 2009. The pack's centerpiece is Road to Ruin, a previously cut single-player chapter that offers two distinct approaches to the same scenario: a direct, combat-heavy run or a stealthy alternative. Beyond the campaign addition, the pack expands the multiplayer offering with seven new maps — War Machine, Allfathers Garden, Highway, Memorial, Nowhere, Way Station, and Sanctuary — each providing fresh environments for the game's competitive modes. An additional 325 Gamerscore worth of achievements rounds out the package. As the concluding piece of post-launch support for Gears of War 2, Dark Corners represents the most substantial of the game's DLC releases in terms of combined single-player and multiplayer content.
