Ghost Town is a single-player VR puzzle-adventure developed by Fireproof Games, the studio behind The Room series, released in 2025 for Meta Quest 2, PlayStation VR2, and SteamVR. Set in London in 1983, the game follows Edith Penrose, a ghost hunter who runs a paranormal detective agency. When her brother mysteriously disappears, Edith pursues the truth to a remote Scottish island, where a clairvoyant may hold answers. Gameplay involves hands-on exploration across diverse atmospheric locations — including a haunted theatre, a London tower block, and a coastal lighthouse — with players using dual controllers to solve tactile puzzles, cast spells, and guide restless spirits to the afterlife. Characters are rendered with motion capture animation and professional voice acting. Ghost Town is the product of over four years of development by the independent Guildford-based team.
