Ghosthunter is a third-person shooter developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and released for PlayStation 2 in 2003. The game follows Lazarus Jones, a rookie officer on his first day with the Detroit Police Department, who is sent with his senior partner Anna Steele to investigate a disturbance at an abandoned school with a dark history of unsolved mass murder. What begins as a routine call unravels quickly when Jones accidentally releases a collection of ghosts from a hidden paranormal research laboratory within the building. An escaped apparition abducts Anna, while another spirit named Astral bonds with Jones, granting him a supernatural ability to perceive the dead. The remainder of the game centers on Jones pursuing Anna and uncovering the buried secrets of the school's past. The premise blends action shooting with survival horror atmosphere, combining ghost-hunting mechanics with an escalating supernatural mystery.
