Gotta Protectors is a cooperative action tower defense game developed by Ancient, released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. Players take on the role of a hero tasked with defending a princess against waves of monsters across 100 stages, each available in four difficulty settings. The game features six distinct hero classes, each trainable to unlock unique skills, alongside items and power upgrades acquired through play. Up to four players can participate in local co-op, adding a multiplayer dimension to the defensive strategy. A map construction tool allows players to build their own stages and distribute them to others via QR codes. The entire experience is presented in a deliberately retro 8-bit visual style, evoking the aesthetic of classic console games.
