Grunn is a puzzle-adventure game developed by Sokpop Collective and released in 2024 for PC and Mac. The player takes the role of a groundskeeper hired to tend a private garden in the Dutch countryside over a single weekend — cutting grass, trimming hedges, watering flowers, and clearing rubbish. The task is complicated from the start: most tools are missing, the property's owner is absent, and the house itself is inaccessible. A nearby village offers the possibility of finding replacements or information, though the local residents are notably guarded. An uneasy atmosphere runs throughout — going out after dark is prohibited, and a persistent feeling of being observed follows the player wherever they go. The game features exploration of a rural environment, multiple possible endings, and a quiet tension that sits beneath its otherwise mundane gardening premise.
You’ve been hired to do some maintenance work on a garden deep in the Dutch countryside. There’s plenty to do: trim the grass, water the flowers, pick up trash, and of course enjoy the lovely scenery. There’s also a small town nearby if you’d like a stroll.
Except… Most of your tools are missing. The owner isn’t around. Going out after dark is forbidden. And no matter where you go, you can't escape the sense you're being watched.
You have until Monday. Good luck!
