Homestead Arcana is a farming RPG and life simulator developed by Serenity Forge, released in 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. Players take on the role of a witch settler building a homestead on a frontier land corrupted by a mysterious toxic force called Miasma. The core loop involves cultivating a garden, discovering new plant varieties, and using harvested flora to craft and strengthen spells rooted in nature magic. Between tending the farm, players venture into Miasma-afflicted territory populated by warped, hostile creatures, gathering rare seeds, recipes, and knowledge to bring back and expand their homestead. A cat familiar named Huckleberry accompanies the player throughout. Progression is tied to pushing deeper into the corrupted land as the farm grows, gradually uncovering the origins of the Miasma while working to restore the surrounding wilderness.
