Intrepid Izzy is a 2D platformer-beat-'em-up hybrid developed by Senile Team, released in 2020 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Dreamcast. Players explore large, themed levels in search of treasures and costumes, each of which grants distinct abilities that factor into combat and progression. These powers come into play against oversized bosses standing between Izzy and the defeat of an ultimate antagonist. The game's visual presentation draws on retro aesthetics while using high-definition sprites and fluid animation, blending classic and contemporary influences across its art, mechanics, and audio. The soundtrack was composed by Ben Kurotoshiro. Alongside the main platforming and fighting, the game incorporates a story populated by eccentric characters and humorous dialogue.
