Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns is a role-playing game developed by Ninja Studio for the Nintendo DS, released in 2007. The story follows Izuna, a wandering ninja, whose plans to attend her acquaintance Ichika's wedding are disrupted when her closest friend, Shino, vanishes without warning. After tracking Shino down, Izuna learns that she slipped away to search for her missing sister, Shizune. Izuna and her companions then join Shino on her quest to locate Shizune. The game serves as a direct sequel to its predecessor, carrying forward established characters while introducing new narrative threads centered on family and loyalty. As a Nintendo DS title, it continues the dungeon-crawling RPG gameplay associated with the series, placing players in the role of Izuna as she and her allies work through the mystery surrounding Shizune's disappearance.
