Sky Fortress is a downloadable expansion for Just Cause 3, developed by Avalanche Studios and released in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The add-on introduces a new mission set centered on a massive aerial stronghold defended by an army of robotic drones. To counter this threat, protagonist Rico Rodriguez gains access to several new pieces of equipment: the Bavarium Wingsuit, a rocket-powered, weaponized suit with shoulder-mounted machine guns and auto-targeting missiles that can be upgraded over time; the Eviction personal defense drone; and the Bavarium Splitter assault rifle. The expansion builds on Just Cause 3's open-world action framework by shifting a significant portion of the combat into the air, with the wingsuit serving as the central tool for both traversal and direct engagement against the drone forces and the fortress itself.
