Katamari Forever is a puzzle-adventure game developed by Genki, released in 2009 exclusively for PlayStation 3. The game features 34 stages, the majority of which are drawn from earlier entries in the Katamari series. The stages are divided between two narrative threads: one set inside the mind of the King of All Cosmos, who has lost his memory after a blow to the head, and one set in the present day, where RoboKing, a robotic King of All Cosmos constructed by the cousins, destroys all the stars in the sky. The mind-based stages are rendered in black and white, and the player rolls a katamari over objects to accumulate mass, gradually restoring color to each level. Only three of the game's 34 stages are entirely new, making it a collection that spans the broader history of the franchise.
