Kill the Plumber is a puzzle-platformer developed by Keybol Games, released in 2015 for web browsers and PC. A parody of classic platformer conventions, the game inverts the traditional setup by casting the player as the enemies rather than the hero. The objective is to stop a rampaging plumber from completing each level, defending a kingdom he has disrupted by constructing pipes and threatening to kidnap its princess. Players begin controlling a slow ground-bound minion incapable of jumping but strong enough to defeat the protagonist, then progress through a roster of enemies with expanding abilities — including jumping, shooting, stomping, and flying — with some stages requiring simultaneous control of multiple characters. The escalating variety of enemy types forms the core of its puzzle design. Kill the Plumber won the Excellence in Design award at the Independent Games Festival China 2015.
