Killing Zone is a one-on-one 3D fighting game developed by Scarab and released for PlayStation in 1996. Set in a mythical alternate dimension, it pits a roster of classic monsters and mythological creatures against one another in single combat. Playable characters include Frankenstein, Medusa, the Wolfman, the Minotaur, and roughly half a dozen others drawn from horror and legend. The combat system draws from both Street Fighter II and Virtua Fighter, blending directional inputs with button-tap sequences to execute special moves. The result is a hybrid approach that borrows from the command-based traditions of both games while framing its battles within a fantastical, creature-focused setting.
