Kinect Party is a motion-based party game developed by Double Fine Productions, released in 2012 for Xbox 360. A follow-up to Happy Action Theater, it expands significantly on its predecessor by offering more than twice the number of minigames featured in the original. The game uses the Xbox 360's Kinect sensor to track player movements, and supports local cooperative play for up to six participants simultaneously. Like its predecessor, it is oriented toward casual, shared-screen entertainment where groups of players interact with on-screen effects and activities through physical motion rather than traditional controllers.
