LA Street Racing is a 2006 PC racing game developed by Invictus Games Ltd, set within the underground street racing scene of Los Angeles. Players begin at 61st place in the rankings with a basic car and work their way toward a confrontation with the underground champion, Matt Peacock, progressing through four prestige levels that open new locations and increasingly difficult rivals. Wagering plays a central role, with competitors able to bet car parts or stake entire vehicles in pink slip races. The customization system requires attention to part compatibility, as mixing upgrade tiers carries handling consequences that affect race performance. Vehicle physics lean toward realism, placing importance on braking discipline and cornering technique, with clean driving rewarded by nitrous boosts. An online multiplayer mode accommodates up to eight racers simultaneously.
