LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is a platform-adventure game developed by Robosoft Technologies and released in 2006 for PC, Mac, and Xbox 360. It adapts the events of Episodes IV through VI — A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi — through a comedic, tongue-in-cheek lens, following the Rebel Alliance's struggle against the Galactic Empire. Players progress through scenes drawn directly from the films, ranging from the Blockade Runner opening to the climactic confrontation on the second Death Star. Building on the foundation of its predecessor, the game introduces the ability for characters to enter and exit vehicles and ride creatures. A deep customization system allows players to mix and match body parts across more than 50 playable characters, generating a vast range of possible combinations. The game retains the cooperative, family-oriented puzzle-solving and humor that defined the original LEGO Star Wars.
