Lost Kingdoms is a role-playing adventure game developed by FromSoftware, released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. Players control Princess Katia, who sets out to investigate a dark force that has spread across the five kingdoms of Argwyll. The journey spans more than two dozen distinct three-dimensional environments, ranging from graveyards and forests to mountains and fortresses. Exploration involves interacting with various characters and locating hidden areas to piece together the nature of the threatening power. Combat centers on a card-based summoning system that draws from a roster of over 100 guardian creatures, which players deploy against waves of enemies encountered throughout the world. Alongside the main single-player campaign, the game includes a two-player Versus mode for head-to-head competition.
