Stones Unturned is a 2017 action-adventure DLC expansion for Mafia III, developed by Hangar 13 and available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. The add-on centers on Lincoln Clay and CIA operative John Donovan, veterans bonded by their shared service in Vietnam, who are forced to confront Connor Aldridge — a traitor who once left Donovan for dead. Aldridge resurfaces in New Bordeaux hunting a cache of highly volatile lost cargo, leading a mercenary army that threatens the city. Lincoln and Donovan fight alongside each other to stop him, with the expansion incorporating heavy weapons, turreted vehicles, and sniper support into its combat scenarios. Unique rewards are also available for players who complete the content. The story builds on the existing relationship between the two characters established in the base game.
