Magnetica is a puzzle game developed by Mitchell Corporation for the Nintendo DS, released in 2006. Players use the touchscreen stylus to launch marbles onto a winding track where chains of colored marbles roll continuously toward a drain point. Matching three or more same-colored marbles causes them to disappear, and the game simulates magnetic physics by curving launched marbles toward matching colors. Three single-player modes — Challenge, Quest, and Puzzle — offer varied objectives, while tracks featuring switches, overlapping paths, and moving barriers add complexity. Power-ups can slow time, reverse marble direction, or boost scores. A top-screen dashboard consolidates key information during play. A head-to-head multiplayer mode introduces dedicated versus weapons, including Ion Clouds cleared by blowing into the DS microphone, Black Holes, Recoils, Viruses, and Gravitons, each disrupting the opponent's marble flow in distinct ways.
