Mario Party: Island Tour is a party board game developed by NDCube for the Nintendo 3DS, released in 2013. Players navigate across seven distinct game boards of varying lengths, competing in a range of minigames that make use of the 3DS hardware's specific capabilities, including tilting, tapping, and drawing inputs. Activities across the boards include wrangling Goombas and launching from cannons, with each board offering its own distinct rules and pace. Multiplayer modes accommodate up to four players and span minigame challenges, puzzle-based competitions, and AR Card play using the 3DS camera. Single-player options are also available. The game draws on the long-running Mario Party formula of combining board game progression with quick, varied minigames, adapting it for portable play. The shorter boards in particular are designed to allow complete sessions within a few minutes.
