Masquerade: The Baubles of Doom is an action-adventure game developed by Big Ant Studios, released in 2016 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Set in a fantasy world known as The Realm, the game follows Jaxx, a wisecracking jester, and his partner Comedia as they become entangled in a conflict over the legendary Druid Orbs — mythical artifacts said to grant their possessor dominion over all. When a foreign army of grim, fanatical clowns invades The Realm in pursuit of the Orbs, Jaxx and Comedia — holders of a map revealing the Orbs' secret location — are forced to flee. After Comedia is captured by the Clown Army, the player guides Jaxx through his efforts to rescue her and prevent the map from falling into enemy hands. The game blends its fantastical premise with a comedic tone throughout.
