The expansion centers on the retaking of Omega, a notorious black market space station that has fallen under the control of Cerberus General Oleg Petrovsky. Commander Shepard joins forces with Aria T'Loak, Omega's deposed ruler, who becomes a temporary squad member and brings formidable biotic abilities to combat encounters. The campaign also introduces Nyreen Kandros, a turian leader of the Talon mercenary group working to liberate Omega's subjugated population. Players face new enemy types, including the Adjutant, a Reaper organism that has been manipulated by Cerberus. Spread across four missions, the expansion blends the series' third-person shooter and RPG mechanics with tactical squad management while advancing the broader conflict against the Illusive Man's organization.
