Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 is a compilation of ten classic action platformers from Capcom's Mega Man series, released in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The first collection covers the original six NES-era titles — Mega Man 1 through 6 — while the second picks up with Mega Man 7, 8, 9, and 10, tracing the franchise's development from 8-bit origins through later installments. Players run, jump, and shoot through each game's stages and boss encounters in the series' established style. Both collections include supplementary content such as time trials, remix challenges, a music player, and a gallery of rare archival illustrations. A rewind mechanic has been added to the first collection's six 8-bit games, allowing players to reverse recent mistakes and ease the difficulty. Additional challenges can be unlocked through the Mega Man amiibo figure.
