Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus is a tactical shooter expansion developed by Kojima Productions for the PlayStation Portable, released in 2007. A standalone follow-up to Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, it shifts focus primarily toward multiplayer, supporting up to six players over WiFi. The expansion introduces several new playable characters, including Old Snake from Metal Gear Solid 4, Roy Campbell, and Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2, while retaining the series' characteristic mechanic of capturing and recruiting enemy soldiers. A single-player component called Infinity Mission is included, though it features no narrative content and functions as a score-based challenge mode. Additional tutorial missions make the game accessible to newcomers to the series. The expansion does not continue the story of its predecessor, instead serving as a primarily multiplayer-oriented supplement to the Portable Ops experience.
