Mirror's Edge is a side-scrolling platformer developed by IronMonkey Studios and published by Electronic Arts, released for iOS in 2009 and later for Windows Phone in 2012. A prequel to the original console title, the game establishes the backstory of the Runners — free-movement couriers who operate outside the control of the city's powerful and corrupt corporations. Players navigate Faith through urban environments from a side-scrolling perspective, a departure from the first-person viewpoint of the mainline entry. The mobile format translates the series' emphasis on fluid, momentum-based traversal into a format suited to touchscreen and phone controls. Set in the same dystopian city as its predecessor, the game provides context for the world and characters that define the broader Mirror's Edge fiction.
This game is a prequel to Mirror's Edge. Senator Elaine Callaghan starts to employ the Pirandello Kruger security firm to train a gang of rogue Runners to make a bad image of and smear the true Runners to gain more votes against mayoral candidate Senator Robert Pope who supports the morale of the Runners.
