Mirthwood is a medieval fantasy RPG life simulator developed by Bad Ridge Games, released in 2024 for PC. Set against a backdrop of continental war, the player's character arrives in a new land and builds a life from scratch. Core activities include managing a homestead, farming crops, raising animals, crafting items and gear, and trading goods between towns. The open world spans six regions and three distinct towns, rendered in hand-drawn artwork with an original musical score. Survival-lite mechanics introduce threats from harsh weather, winter conditions, and disease. Real-time combat against bandits, werewolves, and other enemies supports character progression across specialized combat classes. A Sims-style social system governs interactions with NPCs, each of whom follows an independent daily routine within a fully simulated world. Relationships unlock new dialogue, quests, and events. Dynamic world events and procedurally generated situations create organic narratives throughout play.
