MS Saga: A New Dawn is a console-style role-playing game developed by BEC and released in 2005 for PlayStation 2. Set in a world recovering from the aftermath of a devastating war, the game follows an original story and cast of characters in a post-conflict society where survivors must wield the technologies of their former enemies — a situation complicated when that power begins falling to dangerous forces. Combat centers on mobile suits, the iconic mech units drawn from the G Gundam, Gundam Wing, and Mobile Suit Gundam franchises, and most encounters are resolved through suit-to-suit battles. A significant portion of gameplay involves collecting and equipping increasingly powerful components, with deep customization options encouraging players to continually upgrade and refine their mobile suits throughout the campaign.
