Musashi vs. Cthulhu, developed by Cyber Rhino Studios and released in 2024, is a fast-paced arcade hack-and-slash platformer available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Players control Musashi, a legendary feudal Japanese ronin afflicted by a curse that draws relentless waves of Lovecraftian monsters toward him. Enemies approach from both sides of the screen in endless succession, and defeating them requires landing precise strikes on visible weak spots that bulge from their bodies. The game features six distinct enemy types, each demanding a different approach to master. Reflexes and accuracy are central to survival, as the difficulty escalates with the unceasing onslaught. A competitive layer is provided through weekly, monthly, and all-time leaderboards, allowing players to compare performance against others globally. Full gamepad support is included across all platforms.
