Nanostray is a vertical scrolling shooter developed by Shin'en Multimedia and released for the Nintendo DS in 2005. Players pilot a futuristic spacecraft through waves of enemies in the classic arcade tradition of the genre. The game makes use of the DS hardware and offers a challenge typical of shoot-em-up titles, pitting the player's vessel against relentless enemy forces across multiple stages. Nanostray was notable as one of the earlier entries in the genre on the platform and went on to spawn a sequel, Nanostray 2, released in 2008.
