Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles is a hack-and-slash action game developed by Eighting and released in 2009 for the Wii. Set in an original story separate from the main series, the game follows both Naruto and Sasuke as they independently investigate the Genryu, a group of powerful Elemental Dragons whose influence threatens the world. Players primarily control Naruto, wielding the legendary Dragon Blade and augmenting it with elemental orbs harvested from defeated Genryu. Dozens of Ninja Scrolls scattered across the game world can be collected and equipped to unlock new combat skills. The experience culminates in large-scale boss battles against the dragon enemies themselves. Sasuke is also playable, offering a second perspective on the overarching conflict. The game features original narrative content built around the established Naruto Shippuden setting rather than adapting events from the anime or manga.
