Nintendo Labo: Toy-Con 01 - Variety Kit is a crafting and interactive play experience developed by Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 4 and released for Nintendo Switch in 2018. Players construct five physical cardboard creations — two RC Cars, a Fishing Rod, a Motorbike, a House, and a Piano — using pre-cut, engineered cardboard sheets guided by on-screen instructions. Each finished Toy-Con interacts with Nintendo Switch hardware to enable distinct activities: steering RC Cars manually or in self-drive mode, reeling in fish from a simulated ocean, racing a CPU opponent on the Motorbike across varied terrain, playing and recording music on the Piano, and inserting blocks into the House to interact with an in-game creature. An Aquarium mode lets players design original fish using the Piano. Toy-Con Garage, an included programming mode, allows further experimentation by enabling players to invent entirely new interactions with the kit's components.
