Nintendo Switch Sports is a motion-controlled sports collection developed by Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 4 and released for Nintendo Switch in 2022. The game offers seven sports disciplines: Golf, Soccer, Volleyball, Bowling, Tennis, Badminton, and Chambara, a swordplay mode. Players use Joy-Con controllers to perform physical gestures that correspond to in-game actions, such as curving a bowling ball, adding spin to a tennis shot, or swinging a sword. Soccer includes a Shoot-Out mode that makes use of an included Leg Strap accessory, allowing players to kick with physical leg movements. Controls are designed to be immediately accessible regardless of experience level. Multiplayer is supported both locally on a single system and online, making the game suitable for groups of varying sizes. The title serves as a successor to the Wii Sports series, continuing the motion-control sports format on current hardware.
