Nitrobike is a motocross racing game developed by Left Field Productions and released in 2008 for the Wii and PlayStation 2. Players race nitro-charged dirt bikes across tracks, using bursts of nitrous oxide to overtake opponents and push toward the finish line. The game marked the first motocross racing title on the Wii, and was published by Ubisoft. Left Field Productions were previously known for developing Excitebike 64 on the Nintendo 64, bringing a degree of pedigree to the motocross genre. On the Wii, the game makes use of the console's motion controls to deliver a physically engaged racing experience, while the core gameplay centers on managing speed and nitro boosts to gain competitive advantage over rival riders on the course.
