No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise is a hack-and-slash action game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and directed by Goichi Suda, released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. An enhanced port of the original No More Heroes, it follows an assassin working his way up through a ranked hierarchy of opponents using a beam katana in stylized, fast-paced melee combat. The port introduced several additions for its overseas release that were absent from the Japanese version, including PlayStation Move motion controls and extra boss encounters carried over from the sequel, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. The Japanese release launched without these features, making the regional versions meaningfully distinct from one another. The game blends hack-and-slash mechanics with open-world traversal and a deliberately offbeat aesthetic characteristic of Grasshopper Manufacture's broader catalog.
