Nobunaga's Ambition: Iron Triangle is a grand strategy game developed by Koei, released in 2005 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PC. It is part of the long-running Nobunaga's Ambition series, placing the player in the role of a Japanese feudal lord during the Sengoku period, the era of civil conflict that spanned roughly the fifteenth through seventeenth centuries. As with earlier entries in the franchise, the game centers on the political, military, and administrative challenges of consolidating power across feudal Japan, a setting defined by rival warlords competing for dominance. The title continues the series' tradition of combining large-scale territorial management with the historical atmosphere of one of Japan's most turbulent and celebrated periods of warfare and upheaval.
