Abe's peaceful retirement was shattered when visited by a vision from the Mudokon Spirit Guides. Abe™ learned the Magog Cartel was mining Necrum, the sacred Mudokon city of the dead, to collect bones to make super-addictive SoulStorm Brew.
After freeing the Mudokon spirits imprisoned in the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults, Abe gained scary powers from the Spirit Guides, including the ability to heal his Mudokon friends of Soul-Storm addiction, and the power to turn invisible. Infiltrating the transportation hub of FeeCo Depot, and using explosive farts to survive adventures at the Slig Barracks and Bonewerks, Abe broke into SoulStorm Brewery.
There Abe learned the truth behind the secret ingredient of SoulStorm Brew . . . just before blasting the place to atoms with the combined power of the sobered-up Mudokon he'd rescued. Then Abe joined his brew-addled pals at Alf's Rehab & Tea to take the cure - the journey of a lifetime starts with one step. Or is it twelve?

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a 1998 platform-puzzle-adventure game developed by Oddworld Inhabitants, released for PlayStation and later made available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, PC, and the OnLive Game System. A direct follow-up to Abe's Oddysee, it continues the story of Abe, a Mudokon who discovers that the Magog Cartel is mining Necrum — a sacred Mudokon burial city — to harvest bones as an ingredient in the highly addictive SoulStorm Brew. Guided by Mudokon Spirit Guides, Abe acquires new abilities including invisibility and the power to cure addiction in fellow Mudokons. Gameplay spans several distinct environments, among them the Mudanchee and Mudomo Vaults, FeeCo Depot, the Slig Barracks, Bonewerks, and the SoulStorm Brewery itself. The game expands on its predecessor's rescue mechanics, requiring players to guide and protect enslaved Mudokons while navigating increasingly complex puzzles and hostile industrial settings.
The game continues the story of Abe, charting his efforts to save his fellow Mudokons from another plot by the Glukkons to exploit them. Abe discovers that the Glukkons are enslaving Mudokons, this time to produce a drink called Soulstorm Brew, which uses Mudokon bones and tears as its ingredients. Abe must travel to the Soul Storm Brewery, stop those corporate villains and save the enslaved Mudokon workers.
