Onsen Master is a hot spring management game developed by Waking Oni Games, released in 2022 for PC, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Players take on the role of Mu, a young apprentice tasked with revitalizing a series of hot springs across the fantasy island of Izajima after their sensei goes missing. Across six onsen locations, players prepare ingredients to treat customer ailments, rebuild connections between surrounding communities, and uncover the island's supernatural elements, including mischievous spirits known as yokai. The story unfolds through a visual novel-style narrative with an anime aesthetic, accompanied by an original feudal-themed soundtrack composed by Dorrell Ettienne. Beyond the story mode, an arcade mode strips away the narrative for immediate gameplay, while a competitive local multiplayer mode supports two players managing customers within the same hot spring simultaneously.
