Operation Warcade VR is a virtual reality shooter developed by Ivanovich Games and released in 2017 for PlayStation VR and PC. Drawing inspiration from late-1980s war arcade games, it translates that era's run-and-gun sensibility into an immersive VR setting. A central mechanic called the immersion system allows players to step physically inside the game world, shifting perspective to locations such as helicopter cockpits, trenches, and tank interiors. Combat also features a gravity gun capable of picking up environmental objects and hurling them at enemies as improvised weapons. The title offers two distinct modes: Classic Mode, which presents six levels and a final boss in a structure faithful to its arcade forebears, and Immersive Mode, a more expansive offering comprising 36 levels across 108 missions with progressive upgrades and increasing firepower. The game supports peripheral controllers including PP-Gun and Hyperkin devices with HTC Tracker compatibility.
