Otherskin is a third-person shooter and adventure game developed by Game Atelier, released for PC in 2025. Players control Alex, the thirteenth volunteer in a series of solo expeditions to Planet Vandermire, the ancestral home of an extinct species called the Magna and the suspected origin of a spreading cosmic phenomenon known as the Corruption. Each mission is treated as potentially fatal, with scientists using data gathered from successive attempts to prolong survival and work toward a containment solution. As Alex explores Vandermire's varied biomes, she can absorb organic "morphs" from defeated enemies, unlocking new movement abilities and combat powers. A upgradeable AI suit provides life support, weapon enhancement, and combat agility improvements, accompanied by an AI voice companion. Combat blends ranged weapons with close-quarters melee, and players can switch fluidly between both styles while scouting the planet's environment for information about the Corruption's origins.

Planet Vandermire, the ancestral home of the extinct “Magna” species, is suspected to be the source of the ever expanding Corruption; a universal threat to all life in the universe. Alex is “lucky” number 13 of volunteering Space Crusaders, ready to give their life in deadly solo-expeditions on the planet's surface. Mission “Exodus” empowers individuals with a unique high technology AI suit in order to gather as much information as possible, before falling to the Corruption. It is hoped that with each attempt, scientists can increase the time of survival on the surface and find a solution to contain the Corruption.
