Outcry is a first-person psychological thriller point-and-click adventure developed by Phantomery Interactive and released for PC in 2008. The player takes the role of a writer who travels to a scientist brother's home after receiving an invitation to view the results of a mysterious project. Upon arrival, the brother is nowhere to be found — he has vanished without explanation, leaving behind his belongings, among them a large and unusual machine, along with a warning against replicating his experiments. The game unfolds through exploration of this environment, piecing together what happened through the objects and evidence left behind. Its atmosphere leans heavily into psychological unease, blending narrative mystery with the slow, deliberate pacing characteristic of classic point-and-click adventure design.
