Outlaw Volleyball is a sports title developed by Hypnotix and released in 2003 for Xbox and PlayStation 2, forming part of Simon & Schuster's Outlaw franchise. Players compete in volleyball matches using a roster of sixteen eccentric characters — including bikers, ex-convicts, and strippers — each with distinct strengths, weaknesses, and personalities. The game offers four modes: Exhibition for standard one-off matches, Tour for a career mode spanning fifty events, Drills for practice sessions that award points to improve player abilities, and an Xbox Live multiplayer mode. Ten courts are available, set across varied environments such as beaches, carnivals, and a prison, each featuring unique backgrounds and animations. A momentum system, carried over from Outlaw Golf, allows players to earn tokens by performing well or by physically attacking opponents. Spending these tokens on an opposing player replenishes the momentum meter, providing a comeback mechanic during poor performances.
