Over the Hedge is a 2006 platform-adventure game developed by Beenox, released for Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and PC. Set one year after the events of the film, the game follows RJ, Verne, Hammy, and the rest of the woodland gang as they attempt to stock their communal log with an assortment of suburban goods, including items such as a popcorn machine and a television. This quest takes them through six distinct areas, where they must acquire these objects while evading Dwayne the Verminator, an exterminator known as the Sniffer who pursues them throughout the adventure. Dwayne deploys mind-controlled animals — including weasels, badgers, and at one point Vincent the bear — as henchmen to stop the gang. Bonus mini-games are also included alongside the main campaign, adding supplementary content beyond the primary objectives.
