Overlord: Minions is a puzzle and hack-and-slash game developed by Climax Studios for the Nintendo DS, released in 2009. The game centers on four distinct minions — Giblet, Blaze, Stench, and Zap — operating under the guidance of the veteran minion master Gnarl. Players assume the role of the Overlord, using the DS stylus on the touch screen to direct, reposition, and combine the minion quartet through a series of enemy-filled levels. The central objective involves hunting down the Kindred, a cult attempting to resurrect the Dragon Kin, a humanoid dragon race seeking to overthrow the Overlord's rule. Puzzle-solving and combat are intertwined throughout, with much of the appeal rooted in the physical comedy of the minions themselves. The visual presentation adopts a stylized cartoon aesthetic, and the overall tone carries the sardonic humor characteristic of the broader Overlord series.
