Pac-Pix is a puzzle game developed by Namco for the Nintendo DS, released in 2005. The premise centers on a prankster magician whose "Ghost Ink" transforms any drawing into malevolent ghost creatures. These ink ghosts have overrun books and paintings, and Pac-Man must enter those infested worlds using the Ghost Pen to eliminate them. Gameplay is built entirely around the DS touchscreen. Players draw Pac-Man directly on the lower screen — tracing the mouth first and completing the circle in a single continuous stroke — which brings the character to life to chomp through enemies. Directional control is handled by drawing pathways on the screen that guide the animated Pac-Man figure toward targets. The mechanics are designed specifically around the DS hardware's stylus input, making hand-drawn interaction the foundation of every encounter rather than a supplementary feature.
