Pathfinder: Kingmaker – Definitive Edition is a role-playing game developed by Owlcat Games, released in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Based on the Pathfinder tabletop ruleset, it follows a protagonist who carves out and governs a kingdom in a contested frontier region. The Definitive Edition bundles all previously released DLC from the PC version, including the dungeon-crawling expansion Beneath the Stolen Lands, the standalone campaign Varnhold's Lot, and the Royal Ascension content pack. A notable addition for console players is an integrated turn-based combat mode, a feature that had previously existed on PC only through community mods, offering a more tactical alternative to the default real-time-with-pause system. The game combines deep character-building drawn from Pathfinder's rules with kingdom management mechanics that run alongside the main narrative campaign.
