Perimeter 2: New Earth is a real-time strategy game developed by KDV Games and released for PC in 2009, serving as a sequel to the original Perimeter. Built on the Vista Game Engine, it centers on territorial warfare shaped by the dynamic interplay of ground and water, expanding on the terraforming mechanics introduced in its predecessor. The story follows two factions — the Exodus, guided by spiritual leaders in search of a promised New Earth, and the Harkback, who rejected that faith and turned back toward their supposedly dead homeworld — until both sides converge on the same planet as enemies. Gameplay incorporates transforming units that adapt to shifting battlefield conditions, alongside action-oriented elements through the Providence, a direct-action device capable of large-scale attacks including explosions and meteor showers. RPG-influenced mechanics allow players to excavate maps for psy-crystals, which unlock and upgrade Providence abilities while revealing lore about the world's history.
