PixelJunk Raiders is a hack-and-slash action adventure developed by Q-Games Ltd. and released in 2021 exclusively for Google Stadia. Set on a planet called Tantal, the game casts players as a mercenary who awakens from hypersleep to find the population under assault by alien invaders harvesting their life force. Gameplay revolves around completing hundreds of distinct missions that involve combat and rescuing civilians, alongside an overarching narrative centered on mysterious figures known as the Keepers. A notable feature is its integration of Stadia's State Share technology, which allows players to share their completed stages — including turrets, mines, and other environmental imprints left during play — with others. Conversely, players can enter stages shared by other mercenaries and make tactical use of whatever imprints those players have placed, adding a layer of asynchronous strategic interaction to the experience.
