Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time is a mobile tower defense game developed by PopCap Games and released in 2013 for iOS and Android. A sequel to the original Plants vs. Zombies, it builds on the series' core formula of deploying plant units across a grid to prevent waves of zombies from reaching a home base. The game introduces a time-travel structure, sending players through distinct historical eras, each populated with themed zombie variants and environmental hazards suited to their respective settings. New plant types and power-up mechanics expand the strategic options available compared to the first game, while the level design across different time periods provides varied tactical challenges. After the events of the game Plants vs. Zombies where the player defeated Dr. Zomboss at the rooftop of the house, zombies once again attacked the front yard and after the zombies are all defeated, the player gets the hot sauce and gave it to Crazy Dave. Crazy Dave ate his taco, and wanting to eat the taco again, he wants to time-travel and the player is introduced to his partner, Penny, a supercar that can time travel. Unfortunately, they went back to Ancient Egypt, revealing that they time traveled 4500 years into the past. And the journey goes on!
