Set years after Psyvariar 2, the game follows a renewed Earth colony threatened by an alien signal and an incoming siege, prompting a new generation of pilots to defend humanity. Seven playable characters — including guest character Cotton from the Cotton series — each bring distinct shot types, bomb variations, and scoring mechanics. Central to the experience is the refined Buzz System, which rewards deliberate bullet grazing with score multipliers and shield chains, complemented by a Neutrino and Shield System that unlocks speed boosts and weapon enhancements mid-combat. Six modes are available, including Arcade, Arrange, Mission, Caravan, Endless, and Practice, alongside dynamic difficulty routing that opens harder stages and exclusive boss encounters based on player performance.
